We are relaunching the New Leaf Renovation site today and will be updating often. Since it is President Day today I wanted to Share a little Presidential Renovation history. During the administration of President Harry S. Truman, the White House underwent a renovation and expansion so extensive, it changed the executive mansion more than the fire of 1814. The White House we know today is largely due to the renovation led by Truman. The construction took place between 1948 and 1952 and was a remarkable feat of engineering. That is quartered White Oak being laid in a “Herring Bone” pattern, I could totally see this look coming back.
